Voitanos Learn - Everything You Need to Know: April 2025 Student Account Migration

On Friday, April 18, 2025, we’re launching a brand-new student experience built to make learning, asking questions, and connecting with peers easier than ever! This is a major milestone, Wave 3 of a 4-Wave rollout, that’s been in the works since mid-2024. You can learn more about the three waves from the following articles:

Why We’re Changing

Since launching in 2017, our learning platform, has done its job — but it hasn’t kept up with what we (and you!) really need. Students had to log in to multiple platforms just to watch courses, ask questions, and engage with the community. That created a fragmented experience.

Our previous learning platform:

• Had limited course interaction features
• Required Discord for community discussions (which only 2% of students used)
• Didn’t support mobile or desktop apps

It was time for something better.

The new experience simplifies the student experience by consolidating multiple experiences into a single experience and adds new features to benefit students.

All course content has been migrated to the new Voitanos Learn site.

Overview of the Migration Steps

The following table outlines the high-level steps and who’s responsible for each one as part of the migration:

You will receive two emails on Friday, April 18, 2025 as part of the migration process.

Email #1: Voitanos Learn & Account Migration Announcement

• FROM: Andrew @ Voitanos <[email protected]>
• SUBJECT: [ACTION REQUIRED] Migrate your account to the new Voitanos Learn site to access your courses

This email will arrive a few hours before we start the migration process. It will be sent to the email address you use to sign in to the legacy Course Library.

Email #2: Invitation to Join the Voitanos Learn Community on Circle

• FROM: Voitanos Learn <[email protected]>
• SUBJECT: Andrew Connell has invited you to join the Voitanos Learn community on Circle

This email will arrive most likely between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM EDT (UTC -0400) (check your timezone).

Select the Accept invitation link and follow the onboarding process Circle will guide you through. Refer to the table in the section Overview of the Migration Steps above for all steps you should take.

Make sure to check your junk/spam/promotions folders if you’re having trouble locating it. If you still can’t locate it, see Voitanos Learn: I didn’t get an invitation / having trouble creating my account.

You can monitor the Voitanos Bluesky account, @voitanos.io, for updates on the migration process starting on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Migration Timeline

1. 🔲 Send Voitanos Learn announcement (email #1) to existing students to new Voitanos Learn:

   • Approximate time: April 18, 2025 10:30 AM EDT
   • Status: 🟢 completed

2. 🔲 Send invitations (email #2) to existing students to new Voitanos Learn:

   • Approximate time: April 18, 2025 ~ 2-5 PM EDT
   • Status: 🟢 completed

3. 🔲 Verify students accepting invitations & joining Voitanos Learn

   • Approximate time: April 18, 2025, after all invitations have been sent sent
   • Status: 🟢 completed

4. 🔲 Retire Discord server - block new members from joining, set all permissions to read only

   • Approximate time: April 18, 2025, after we confirm students start accepting the invitations & create their Voitanos Learn accounts
   • Status: 🟢 completed

5. 🔲 Decommission & take down legacy Course Library (courses.voitanos.io)

   • Approximate time: April 25, 2025
   • Status: ⚪️ pending

Frequently Asked Questions

Voitanos Learn: If I already have a Circle account for another community, can I use that for the Voitanos Learn community?

Yes, you can either create a new account in Circle or login to an existing account when you accept the invitation. Whichever option you elect to do, that’s the account that will be added to the Voitanos Learn.

Voitanos Learn: I didn’t get an invitation / having trouble creating my account

Most invitations should be sent out and received between 2:00 PM & 5:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2025 (check your timezone).

If you didn’t receive the email invitation to join the Voitanos Learn by Saturday, April 19, 2025, complete this form with as much detail as possible. We’ll be in touch within 1-3 business days.

Please be patient, with over 15,000 students, we anticipate some support requests.

Voitanos Learn: I got my invite & created my account, but I don’t see my courses

If you previously enrolled in one or more of our courses, you should see them once you accept the invite and create your account. Make sure to watch the START HERE course once you get access to the Voitanos Learn so you are familiar with the experience.

If you still don’t see your course, follow the instructions in the lesson START HERE: HELP! Missing Something from the April 2025 migration to Voitanos Learn?.

Course Library: Can I still access my courses on the legacy Course Library site?

Yes, but only until April 25, 2025. At that time, the legacy Course Library will be taken offline.

Discord: When will the Discord server be deleted?

There are no plans to delete the Discord server at this time.

Discord: What happened to posts in the Discord server?

There are no plans to migrate the posts in Discord to Voitanos Learn at this time.

Discord: Can I continue to access the posts in the Discord server after the migration?

Yes, existing members can access the posts in the Discord server after the migration. However, they won’t be able to react, reply to existing posts, or create new posts starting April 18, 2025 when the Discord server will be set to read-only.
